REVEIW:
General impressions:
Now its almost a year that Im driving this car I bought it in 2004 in Japan, with a 600km run. Arrangement is B4 GT TB. Engine 2.0 turbo 260 hp, torque 35 kg, 5-gear AT with a shift on the steering wheel, xenon and self-blocked rear differential. While traveling and so on its been completely repainted it was initially dark blue and now its become black pearl with a light tint. The arrangement is very good: leather interior with heated seats, monitor, heated mirrors and wipers, Mackintosh musical system. I installed supplementary only front brakes AP Racing with disks and changed braking hoses.

What I like in this car: |
Now about the car, I liked the new engine with a twin-scroll turbine very much good adjustments it runs from low gears and looks like twin-turbo B12, only a bit smoother engine, I liked consumption very much: average 11 liters of Octane 98, and speed does not practically affects it thanks to a new AT. Its a pleasure to drive on the momentum about 2-3 thousand very mild and powerful. The new 5-gear AT is totally above any praises very good ratios, switching is much softer than that of the previous AT. At the speed of 100 km/h 2,100 RPM, at 140 km/h 3,000 RPM, that is in average movement you just ride on the momentum. The suspension is totally new, in my opinion better now the car looks more accurate, more tight. Generally speaking, this model line is, in my opinion, a big breakthrough for Subaru they have made a car of a higher class and this is felt in everything noise insulation has become much better. The quality of Mackintosh sound was a great surprise to me now I think of buying a set for my home. More foot-space for backseat passengers. You should see what the Japanese have done in the new monitor!!! I was watching and crying additionally to the usual fuel consumption and other traffic info it can operate as a communicator and a loud-speaker when a phone is connected, plus, since it is a touch-screen, it has virtual scanning of Japanese and English keyboards to work in the Internet, receive e-mail, etc. To say nothing about the recorded data of timely maintenance operations including reminders that the time came to change oil or to check electrolyte level in the battery. Unfortunately, all this wealth is useless in our conditions: the only operator working in CDMA format, same as in Japan, is at a loss nothing similar can be offered here. So, everything remained but the communication gimmicks. I could conquer navigation, by the way Garmin issued their new product that enables connecting an external monitor, and it was done.
On a road in behaves like all Subaru: it holds the road perfectly and does not make you nervous over trifles such as snow and ice; turning is a wonder, on the way home Im passing a very beautiful and well visible turn, when I come near I always prey that the road is free then I can enter it beautifully
. Like on no other car.

What I dislike in this car: |
Of relative minuses during that period: generally these cars have yellow Bilstein shock-absorbers a very good thing but for good roads when you get into the pits dug out by our moles from Luzhkov, they often go out to the stoppers. Though, as I already told, this is completely compensated by the excellent steer-ability on good roads. The second of the relative minuses is the clearance. Since the car is initially low, plus I installed skirts, you have to think twice about the height of the curb before you get on it.
General conclusion: this is a wonderful car combining convenience of a business sedan car with a possibility to drive fast. All in all thanks to Subaru, OK! Its not in vain that statistically about 45% Subaru owners are buying new Subaru again.
Good luck on the roads to everyone!
Take care of yourself and your cars.
